WORDPRESS DEVELOPER

Lure Creative is growing rapidly and we are looking for a mid-to-senior level WordPress developer who can develop engaging web-based experiences and help shape the future of our internal development team.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience building websites in WordPress, as well as experience developing customized solutions using HTML, CSS and JS.

Requirements:

Full-stack development

  • Experience in WordPress development of parent themes and plugins, specifically
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters and custom post types
  • Understanding of Woocommerce and ability to customize shop, product and checkout pages
  • Experience developing templates in Hubspot using Hubl, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to create functional web pages based on design mockups from Adobe Photoshop or other design software
  • Strong understanding of web languages including Apache/Nginx, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience working with JavaScript task runners and build tools, including Gulp, PostCSS and Babel, knowledge of WP Rig is a plus
  • Experience with Sass, Less and dynamic features that are new to CSS

Support and process improvement

  • Knowledge of the WordPress update cycle and how to manage and troubleshoot issues related to updates
  • Comfortable implementing code changes to existing websites to fix issues and add new features
  • Familiarity with WP Engine or other managed WordPress hosting environment
  • Ability to improve development workflow and quality through the use of staging sites, Git version control and other tools, knowledge of Bitbucket is a plus
  • Ability to use command line tools like WP CLI and SSH to manage WordPress core, plugin and theme updates on multiple sites is a plus

Soft skills

  • Communicate development requirements to project managers, clients and other stakeholders
  • Provide time-based estimates for development work to project managers
  • Learn new things quickly while being able to apply what you learn on the job

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Lure Creative is looking for an entry-level Business Development Representative to help us acquire and manage new client relationships.  Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Research potential clients and contact through cold calls and emails
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
  • Present Lure Creative and it’s services to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

Must Have Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas – ideally while working for a marketing agency
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho, others)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • 4 year degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
