Social Media Specialist

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

- 25% Social Posting (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google)
- 20% Social Media Strategy & Planning
- 15% Execute Social Marketing Ad Campaigns
- 10% Continued Education/Training
- 10% Execute Email Marketing Campaigns
- 5% Internal Strategy Meetings
- 5% Client Meetings & Phone Conferences
- 5% Analyze Data & Reports
- 5% Job Creation & Tasking
Social Media Specialists (SMS) oversee day-to-day strategy, execution and results of social media posts/campaigns. Their goal is to increase engagement (likes, shares, fans) on relevant social media channels. The SMS is 100% passionate about social media, social content, and social engagement and has a drive for improving online metrics for our clients. Some client facing time and phone conferences will be required to gather more in-depth information about businesses, projects and promotions. Participation in monthly “pulse” phone conferences and quarterly planning meetings may be required for each client.
The SMS is also responsible for all client communication and reporting related to social media and email marketing efforts. You will guarantee that all company processes for success are followed. Your success will be measured by the 1) quality of content & posts 2) increased social metrics including conversions 3) culture fit.
Note: You will be accountable and measured upon the prior skills, tasks and roles on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent, College or University. Minimum of 2 years in a related internship or job. All candidates who are accepted must be “Inbound Marketing Certified” by HubSpot. Click Here to get certified.
Knowledge of social media best practices, inbound marketing, social advertising, email marketing, leadership skills and extremely good written and verbal communication skills.
