Lure Creative recently worked on a social media marketing campaign for a Kansas City area grocer, McGonigle’s Market that was putting on an event to help raise money for a local charity. Their two-week social media campaign reached over 33,300 people. A large part of this was due to the shareable nature of the content. Encourage People to Share Your Social Media Content

We have said it once and we will say it again. The reason that social media marketing is so successful is because it is, well… social. Take advantage of this in each of your posts by asking people to share, re-tweet, or comment. Each time someone engages with your content, the reach of your post or tweet increases and your company’s message is put in front of a larger audience. Another tip for increasing the reach of your post is to tag people or an organization. When McGonigle’s would mention the charity in their posts, they would tag them.

Focus on Networks that Make Sense for Your Company

Some people might assume that the more social networks a company is on, the higher the overall reach of their campaign will be. This however, is not true in most situations. When a company uses social media networks that do not make sense for them or their audience, they are spreading themselves thin. Instead it is much more beneficial for a company to focus their efforts in areas that will bring them a higher ROI.

Follow up with your Social Media Audience

Whether the goal of your campaign was to drive people to your store for an event, to increase your brand exposure with a social media contest, or anywhere in between it is always important to follow up. Why? Social media followers have begun to develop a relationship with your brand during this campaign and are looking to see an ending point.
