This is a very powerful tool that can increase your customer base and customer service when used.

A second reason businesses should be using social media is to display their company culture. Your website is important for defining who your company is, what services or products you offer, and how customers can get ahold of your company. In other words, it is used to show the professional side of your business. Social media, on the other hand, should display the personal side of your business. This is the side that customers and potential customers can relate to, the side that allows them to form a deeper connection with your company. How does that work? People connect with people, not companies. By breaking your business down into individuals and specific stories, your customers connect on a personal level rather than a professional one.

A third reason businesses should be on social media is to generate more website traffic. Social media is an integral part of directing customers and potential customers to your website and into the lead generation funnel. Through industry research, social leads have proven to be more qualified leads.

Where should your business be focusing its social media marketing efforts?

We recommend that you use one or two networks correctly and consistently instead of using numerous networks poorly. Which network your business should be using depends on your customer base and industry. Our advice is to work with an agency or individual that is well versed in the social media world to help your company determine this.
