How do you make a great hardwood flooring website even better?
Steve Brattin, owner of SVB Wood Floors has grown his company year over year and has been a top client for years. Mostly because he trusts that Lure Creative will do what they said they would do and we outperform our competitors. Steve loved his last website and did not want to redesign it. However, the site was an older HTML site and no longer looked up to date. After months of convincing and with some help from Google’s mobile guidelines and requirements, we sanded down their old site and refinished to give an all new appearance.

The one thing I can say after redoing hundreds of websites, is that the more analytic data we have about your past website visitors, the better we can design a site to give them what they want. It’s all about the user experience. With SVB Wood Floors, we had years of data to backup our design strategy. From top to bottom, left to right, we delivered the best of the best for what they came to the site for. We started with large slider images and gave them the visual of beautiful hardwood floors. But then we dove right into the large thumbnail menu.
By volume, left to right we know that hardwood floor refinishing was the top reason people came to the website, followed by new wood floor installations and then pre-fabricated flooring. We no longer hid the photo gallery and displayed an all new gallery of finished flooring done by SVB. We made these photos larger than ever to entice visitors to call.
HubSpot and Inbound Marketing increases traffic and lead conversions.
Old-style SEO and keyword spamming has not been affective for quite a while. As a part of our website refinish, we installed HubSpot Marketing to the backend of the SVB website and starting performing our Inbound Marketing services. This business was already ranking high in Kansas City for top “money” search terms, but the high-volume traffic was not enough. We need to convert more visits to leads. This was accomplished by adding downloadable content and other call-to-actions throughout the site.
We promoted the content in repetition throughout social media channels and drove larger amounts of traffic and converted higher quantities of contacts/leads. The results…an incredible 85 search terms in the top 10 results on page 1 of Google. Not to mention that 68 of those are in the top 3 positions on page 1 as of this report.
